Purpose: To help visualize a few of the components of faith mentioned in 2 Peter 1:5-7 such as knowledge, godliness, mutual affection and love in order to see how we can incorporate them into our faith in practical and do-able ways.
Setup
4 “boxes” (virtues)
Supplies:
– Paper
– Pens
– Score sheet
Roles
– Leader to open boxes and read instructions
– 1 scorekeeper
– Teams of 4-7
How It Works
This activity is intended
Prep
*Nest four boxes inside each other. Print or write the contents of each Virtue separately and place in each box. Read the virtues and instruct teams to complete each activity. Have teams compare answers/score before moving on to the next box.
**Boxes are used as a visual and optional.
Leader opens and reads the paper in the biggest box – one at a time. Each team collaborates to write down their answers in their notebook. Once the tasks or answers in each box are completed, team give their answers and are scored by the scorekeeper.
